A big problem with marijuana infused drinks is that they are typically part of a one-time use product. You’ll have to smoke it all on one sitting, or you’ll have to get that one serving all to yourself. But, since nobody wants to spend $20 on a single serving of bong water, companies have been creating their own options… products that can be shared with a friend or two. And this is where the real problem begins. Because when it comes to marijuana, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

As pot smokers, we’re used to the idea of having a nice joint or bowl on the go, but what about the big stuff? Sure, you can get a joint or bowl loaded with 10-15 grams of weed, but what about the larger-sized edibles and beverages? The truth is, there are basically no cannabis-infused beverage options that will fit in a portable water bottle and be shareable. And time is running out.

As the cannabis-food space has grown over the last few years, there has been a growing trend for marijuana-infused products to be served in shareable sizes. Some of the more traditional vape cartridges (e-liquids) are available in 5 or 10-milliliter bottles and can be shared by a group of friends, whereas the more popular edibles are available in grams and doses that can be shared between a single person.. Cannabis-infused-beverages-have-yet-to-make-the-leap-into-shareable

Infused drinks have rapidly become my preferred method of cannabis consumption, particularly during this hot, smokey summer. However, something is lacking in Washington’s cannabis industry, and that bothers me.

There were no cannabis products as there are today once upon a time, in the not-too-distant past. There was some marijuana available from a black market dealer, but that was all. Because legalization has resulted in a boom of cannabis products, this grumbling may be the consequence of being spoilt by an ever-expanding market. Whatever the case may be, I want to be able to drink cannabis beverages in the same manner that we consume alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, and cocktails.

If you go to any dispensary in the area, you’ll discover a plethora of drinks in a variety of tastes and shapes, but there’s one major gap in the selection. They’re either very powerful, or they’re on the other end of the spectrum, producing a tiny high at best.

On your way home from work, pick up a six-pack of beers or a bottle of wine and divide it with several buddies throughout the course of the evening. You may receive a pleasant, soothing buzz without being too euphoric. There aren’t any cannabis products that allow for this as far as I’ve been able to discover when searching the Inland Northwest.

There are plenty of 12-ounce bottles containing 100 milligrams of THC on the market, but they’re not meant to be sipped throughout an evening. A one-ounce mini-gulp will get you fairly stoned for a casual user. You can go into a grocery store and walk out with a $3 can of 50-milligram CBD seltzer — I’m sipping one as I write this article — but if you drink the entire thing, your aching muscles may feel a little better, but you won’t get high.

There aren’t many, if any, choices designed to be drank leisurely with friends while enjoying a backyard barbeque.

I’d like a six-pack of infused drinks with three milligrams of THC each can. Or a 30 milligram product that may be poured and divided around a meal in the size of a wine bottle. Something you can eat a couple servings of and still get a moderate, easy high without feeling like one of those “when the edible hits” memes. Maybe I’m just a pampered customer, but I believe that’d be fantastic.

When it comes to cannabis-infused beverages, there’s a big gap between the premium end of the market and the mass-market. For the most part, both the brews and puffs are hitting the THC market at a premium level at around $10 per gram. But, with the industry’s financial struggles, we’re not even sure that’s sustainable.. Read more about cann drink website and let us know what you think.
